Shadow Time

It's Sunday and that means Shadow Shot time over at Hey Harriet's.  However, if you were within coo-ee of the east coast of Australia over the last few days, you will know that rain tends to put a dampener on shadows, so I have had to delve into pictures taken late last year.

This Florentine gentleman was making easy work of the River Arno.  He looked about my age, but super fit.  I felt a few pangs of guilt and thought maybe I should be doing what he was doing.  Then I bounced back to reality and realised that I'd probably drop dead after ten strokes, so I contented myself watching him gracefully glide through the water.  I love the colours of the unseen buildings reflected in the background.

There are some stunning shadow images on Tracy's Shadow Shot Sunday, so do pop over and take an admiring look.

The kayak rower seems to move the boat effortlessly down the river. The shadows, reflections and ripples are artistic, actually lovely. I wouldn't worry though, with practice the rowing will get better! Nice vacation, the beautiful city of Florence a place to savor!

Terrific shadow shot and lovely reflection!! And he does look in great shape and I should be doing the same thing, and I'd probably drown trying to get back to the shore! Ah, well, I'll run upstairs in a few minutes, that should be good for something! Happy Anniversary! Great looking couple!! Enjoy!

I know the feeling about wishing I were more fit. Hmmm.

Saw the post below and want to wish you a happy anniversary. 40 years? You must have indeed married a good man!

Haha! I'm quite sure you wouldn't drop dead after 10 strokes. You have active grandkids. I imagine running around and keeping up with them consumes way more energy than a paddle down a river ;)

Beautiful photo. I love the reflections & patterns in the water.

PS- I deleted the incorrect link earlier this morning. Yes, that is the problem with entering those static page links. Having to remember to change it each week is tricky. Your standard blog url is fine though Robyn. The static page urls are only really needed for players who post to many memes and update their blogs a lot in a short period of time. All good the way you've always been doing it :)
