It's late Saturday night, close enough to Sunday to think once again about Hey Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday. It's been a long and busy day which started at the crack of dawn, when we drove to New Farm, on the other side of the city for our fix of Farmers' Market. The sun was out, the birds were singing and all was well with the world.
Before we could even THINK of shopping, there was the serious business of heart starters. Ah .. coffee shadows ...
Next came Men with Trolleys and Babies - de rigeur at the markets.
And finally, with the warm spring sun fully out, there were the new season's golden, ripe mangoes.
With the shadow shots out of the way, we set about enjoying the simple pleasures of soaking up the market atmosphere. Here are a few images to show what we love about this particular market and what keeps drawing us back.
The flowers
The people
The quirky ...
And those priceless moments.
Oooo ... if I keep looking at the ground, maybe he won't notice me ...
Home again, home again,
Jiggidy jig.
What's not to love?

Girl you made my day...well with the heart starters first...but what a market to venture to, we have nothing like that here in Iowa, I'm afraid it would be my fave too and I'd be carrying loads of bouquets(and fresh fruits) home to brighten my heart!
Have a sunny day!

What fun for you to take us through the market! I love markets like these and your photos are fabulous! And so colorful!-- feel like I've been there!
Enjoy your day!

Very nice job - photos for SSS! You have some very lovely little girl dress designs! :)
So true! What's not to love? Wha t a wonderful photo essay you gave us here. The only prolbem is, is makes me want some coffee, mangoes, heck, I just want to be at that market!
Thanks!
The coffee is to clear the shadows from our sleepy eyes. I always like to see the people out and about and leaving their shadows on the ground as they congregate. The shadows surrounding fruit are beautiful, this looks like a painting on canvas, a lovely perspective of shadow and brilliance.
That whole farmer's market is stunning. As you go into summer in OZ, the people and ripe fruit is beautiful. The green tomatoes catch my eye -we have to wait for warmth next year, but when the weather is this nice, we would all enjoy it to the max!
They are lovely shadows of different shapes and source. Great set of photos.
What a fun day! That is a GREAT farmers market. Smiles around every corner.
Your closing made me smile. When my kids were little, whenever we returned from errands I always said the "Home again, home again..." part and waited for them to say "Jiggity jig."
It always made us laugh. I had forgotten that.
What a wonderful post, and lovely place to see. Thanks for sharing your fun..
What a pleasant day you had...wish we could have tagged along for real! Thanks for recording it in shadowy pictures for us!
Whew, I had fun but I'm exhausted! Great shadow series, it looks like a lot of fun.
Thanks for sharing your lovely morning at the Farmer's Market. Your photos are a great advertisement for the place. I'm surprised you didn't have a larger bag to bring home goodies in. Unless YOU were lugging it along with your camera?
Yep - sure was, Amanda!
Looks like you had a good day. I LOVE those mangoes!
Paz (where it's not too cold, yet) ;-)
Looks like it was a good day for shadow shopping!
Gorgeous set of photos! I love the first one - the table colour with the chocolate cofee - lovely! It looks like a fun market!
What's not to love indeed!?! Coffee AND mangoes! Two of my fave things. Looked like a fun morning at the markets. The doggy photo and description is cute! You must be very busy getting prepared for your own market. Not long now!
The last one is gorgeous!
Please check out shadows in Chinhae
