Shadow Shots

No, we don't have snow, but all the same it's been cold by Queensland standards.  It was minus 1 overnight in some parts of Brisbane (including Chez Fudge) before it topped at 21 degrees Celsius, or 70 degrees Fahrenheit.  Still, it was a stunningly clear morning and what better could we do but visit the farmers' market for some fresh produce.

A cup of Dutch Chocolate Coffee renewed the spirits ...

... before stocking up on herbs for the jaded kitchen garden ...

... and some beautiful parsnips and mushrooms,

... as well as fresh tiger prawns, pumpkin and bunches of basil, coriander and all manner of goodies for a Thai prawn and pumpkin curry which we had tonight.  Mmmm.

After settling the herbs into their new home this afternoon, I noticed some shadows dancing across the lawn.

For more shadow shots, why not visit Hey Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday

The coffee vendor serves the brew over a shadowy counter. The daytime high of 21°C /70°F is wonderful, we have been cooler than usual lately, topping out at that temperature - which I enjoy.

A lovely market, with beautiful basil and stunning parsnips. A shopping experience to end all! Topped of by large shrimp and a homemade curry - a fine day, indeed!

Great shadows! I have to admit I didn't know the temperature ever goes below zero Celsius in Brisbane.

Mmmm...a cup of that Dutch chocolate coffee sounds mighty good right about now! I didn't know that parts of Brisbane experienced minus 1 temps! Yikes! It may have reached minus 1 at my house. I wouldn't have felt it because I was already frozen...

Keep warm :)

Produce makes such pretty photos. Just lluuurve the farmers market Shadow Shots. It is only starting to look a bit more like summer approaches here in the farrr north hills of Idaho. Stopped raining Friday and the sun has shone brightly Sat and today. The temps are in the 60's 7 70's during the day. Nice.
