Re-discovering Sydney

One of the benefits of returning to the city of your birth after an absence of many years is that you view it with fresh eyes.

We had walked past BMA House in Macquarie Street probably hundreds of times since we were children, but it wasn't until we glanced up towards the top of the Art Deco building a couple of weeks ago that we noticed these wonderful knights.

And clinging onto the side of the building below them was this adorable koala.  How could we have missed them?

This morning we were back in the city and we took delight in walking through the Strand Arcade.  It brought back happy childhood memories of when my parents would take my brothers and me strolling through the virtually unchanged Sydney icon.

How lovely to see the city all decked out for Easter.
